Finally back from holidays. 12 days. Which were not fully holidays. Gaza news, the images, the killing of innocents were bringing me to the boil. The slaughter by Tsahal of hundreds of civilians in the Gaza strip was hauting me. To be honest I have no hope that something could be done to impede the genocide: the US approve the assaults, Israel does not and will not stop the massacre, and none of the demonstrations worldwide will impede that. End of the story?
On the war field, unfortunately yes. As no army, no UN peacekeepers with blue helmets, no counterforce will show up there. And not even the EU will be worthy enough to apply economical sanctions. But on the information field, the story HAS TO & MUST continue.
Because besides the unhuman warcrime commited by Israel, its propaganda can be even worse. I was in NYC when the slaughter of Gaza civilians started, and it is trully unbelievable to see how the news is completely biased, false, embezzled on the other side of the ocean. I even had some quick talks with people there in restaurants, cafés etc, and it was amazing to see the level of ignorance and brainwash some had.
Back here yesterday, I've spent the last 24 hours watching CNN, Fox, Al Jazeera, LCI, France24 and other channels, as well as surfing on the net.
And one of the first things I saw yesterday on the net was a sponsored link on youtube (you know what that is right? that kind of adwords you need to pay for to get your URL/webpage appear on top of the search engine results. As a user you don't pay much attention to whether this is a natural link (SEO) or a sponsored one(SEM) ) as this clearly shows how Israel is now releasing its propaganda on the web.
Typing "Gaza" on youtube here is what I got:

And when I cliked on that "Situation in Gaza" link on the top, sponsored (read "paid for") by a user called "IsraelMFA", located in Israel, I landed here: http://www.youtube.com/user/IsraelMFA

Have a look at it, and at the following nasty, false and unethical
video that it promotes:

This is unfortunately the type of information that is primarily released by the main media in the US.

As Ibn Kafka pointed out in his blog, I will also quote Patrick Besson, chronicler in the French Le Point:
"The operation “hardened Lead” of Tsahal in the Gaza Strip? Fortunately that the Israelis are not Serb, if not Tzipi Livni and Ehoud Olmert would be on the way for the International court of the Hague."

In the states (and Canada but at a much lower level), the news are conducted in such manner that Israel will always be presented as fighting terrorists. There is no room for anything else nor triying to understand the mess where the palestiniens are living in.
Did you notice that on Youtube there is a channel presenting some propanganda from the IDF by IDF?
Simply disgusting.
